The whole pattern for number five is as and then adjective and then as ever. You got the different answer. That's correct. Kind, kindly is different. So, kind, you corrected your own sentence. 14:40 Hi how are you? awesome. alright. what are you gonna go on your off day? I mean no plan is a good plan to me.I think. how has your work been overall? alright. it sounds going good. how was your husband's birthday? right?I haven't had that for a long time that was really good. but your favorite thing make you out that barbeque.ok. yeah I think I took my husband to Korean barbeque like three years ago for the first time. that was like one of our first dates. and now I think his favorite is either ddukbboki or bulgogi. I would like to do that once a month I think.but it's good. good for you guys. do you like celebrating your birthday? like your birthday? do you like celebrating your birthday? yeah you'll have cakes and birthday songs. that's pretty cool. I'm not a big fan of celebrating my birthday.I don't care about my birthday anymore. I'm bored of it. but I love other people's birthdays. like it will be my friend's birthday and my husband's birthday and I'm like what do you want? where are we going? what says you cause we'll have fun time then you'll have a gift. so you sent me an article. right? ok let me pull it up. hold on. how's the weather been? is it any better? ok. yeah are you excited for fall? oh my gosh. me too. what do you think is like the best thingto do during the fall? yeah walking around in the summer hot night, it can be fun. but it's like you're walking in a fish tank outside. like it's hot oh my gosh. I don't like this. but it might be exciting for fall. me and my husband are big halloween fans. that's like a holiday to do together. all excited. alright. does fast charging damage your battery?ok why do you choose this article? yeah battery then. alright. tell me about batteries though. ok what are some better ways? I know that. I heard it at least. but I have a bad habit of charging my phone like over night. I'm gonna say,,,I know it's not good keeping a phone plugged in for like 6 hours. but I at least get very,,,look the word. like I get paranoid about my phone is gonna die in the middle of the night. and I don't hear my alarm.such it happen before. and I got very scared. do you leave your phone charged over night? yeah I don't wanna charge my phone over night. and you're paranoid and so nervous. like I don't wanna my power goes out and suddenly I have no phone. I don't know I'm very paranoid about low 11:42face? I don't know why. and then 11:52you have my husband who he's fallen he's like never charged. I don't know why. I've ever he has his phone I located. it's like 10% 12%. all the time I don't think I've ever seen he's charged his phone. and he's doing just fine. I can survive at 60. probably. yeah. to charge me crazy. what kind of phone do you have?yeah I've had Samsung most of my life. Korea and it's like i-phone and then Samsung. right? who's more popular?yeah they don't like they use it. of course. yeah very inconvenient. my first smart phone. I was like 14 I think and it was Samsung. right? and I've had Samsung most of my life and people think I'm weird now. cause i-phone and android. I have google. everyone thinks I'm like weird for some reasons. but I like google. cause I was gonna say oh I like I chose my i-phone. my sister's i-phone. my mom's i-phone. and I'm like,,,what is this? I guess I just feel odd.it's so smooth and like 14:59nothing but ? I think it's strange to me. everything's like touch touch. yeah I love the Samsung camera. of course. yeah I don't understand that my parents bought me the Samsung.but I was younger. I had they think I'm weird for using it which I don't know. I notice they kind of know like young people who make a fun of other people for not having i-phone. like 14 years old or 15 years old. they 16:22? you don't have i-phone. it's usually case that kids don't pay for their phones like the reason me and my husband have google phones mainly, it's cause like we pay for our own stuff. right? so obviously we're gonna choose stuff that are cheaper and more convenient. I don't know people are obssessed with like the brand, status thing. oh you got your phone. I spent a lot of money on that. yeah why is that? ok. I've had this phone for like three years. I think almost three years. and I remember I got it me and my husband we're dating at that time or visiting Texas for his job.and I was complaining that like I really need a new phone. cause my phone was like fallen apart 20:12?apanic for like 6 years. and he bought me this new phone. right? and I expected him to do 20:22some when he was pen at the store I like. and I was sort of crying. I don't know why 20:27 phone was sort of like thank you I know you deserve it. I don't think,,there are big places for like apple products. but I think if you have products like Samsung or google phone, you have to go to like a general phone repair place. so like some brands like horizon like T-mobile places like that. like your data companies. you have to go to one of their stores. but for some reason i-phone gets own wear house. I heard a lof of older people in Korea, they like using apple products. cause they say they like come from China or something. they don't like using Chinese technology. yeah i-phone is very nice looking but it sucks breaks. you care really do anything about it. when I was in Korea, I know it is a lot of googles on the subway head like folding Samsungs that folds out this way kind of like -ipad. and I thought it was cool and I wanted it like really bad. but that screen breaks. you can't really do anything to fix it. I'm 23:07 ?loyal to my goole though. does your son have a phone? yeah how old kids in Korea get a smart phone usually? yeah my first cell phone.it wasn't a smart phone right? people think I'm lying when I say this right? like cell phone carriers, they used to have Disney mobile. do you remember Disney mobile? Disney is Disney like Mickey mouse and everything.they have their own cell phone. the reason you don't care about it is because it lasted for like three months?and then they shut down. because nobody liked it. I loved the Disney mobile. I was in like 5th grade or something.I had my pink mickey mouse phone. I though it was so cool. yeah so cute. I want those 25:27l was little foot phones. you get like your own mobile kids. oh I miss it. if I become like billionaire one day. I wanna bring back Disney mobile. that's gonna my first order business. hi. I know it's late. so I wanna let you go. but thanks for bringing me back memories on my first cell phone. did you have any questions or such before we leave? alright. try to do something fun this weekend. I'll see you Tuesday. I'll see you.

I see.yeah, so, right now. your wife is a bit struggling. so you have to not be happy. yeah, have to stay with her.good luck. good luck. I hope that you will be able to do well in the test and that she will be consider for the new job. so does she want to teach?probably (???)[07:40] sameyeah during the holidays, of course.that's right. she has a more stable schedule. you will try to have a kid. big family plans. yes. I think it's very important for her. to have a job that will be lighter on body. graveyard shifts are very tough on the body. so It's not really very health.we dated for more than ten years.future kid. It will be hard to take care of future kid.oh, (???)[11:08] dangerous job.that's right. you are the provider. okay. okay. that make sence.that's right. an easier and more stable condition. It's a very good family plan. I would say that's a perfect plan. It's good for mothers to be teacher because they're going to teach kids anyway. go ahead.honey? like HONEY? honeyperson because they are relaxed. that's very interesting proverb. ah, is that why? because honey is sweet.that is so interesting. I'll try to research about that proverb later. honey, honeyperson, honeypeople oh, let me try that later.I'll try to memorize that and try (???)[14:48] my other students later.but, of course before she a 꿀빤다. she needs to work hard first. right. she needs to study a lot first.she shouldn't lose a (???)[15:24]she's continue doing and until achieve it. I mean she should just continue doing it. I mean she failed last year. but maybe this year is the good year for her. so let hope. yeah. she just try and try and until she succeed.so hopefully, (???)[16:51] years as her years and she will pass the exam.the first baby. oh definitely. don't worry. I will let your dad off later. we just have a couple more minutes little one.your dog look so clean. I have to command you good job. taking care (????). it looks super white and super clean.I totally get you that's a condition that we experience a lot in the Phillippen's the pavement, the road. alright you call it the pavement. the pavement becomes too hot under the sun. so It's really painful for dogs to walk on. yeah, so my dogs are also usually just at home.yeah, it's better she just stays at home. that's totally fine. that's a perfect time for a this little one to go out. at least the pavement has cool down already it's not going to hurt her anymore, and plus the air at night is bit cooler. so it's not get some cool breeze right? exactly. although, I guess a lot of people are outside to at night. for humans right. humans okay. It's not, It's not health to go out these days. It's better to stay.so, since you are firefighter. because, firefighters are usually call for emergency. right? so, have you experienced going to on emergency during summer season? and what is the usual emergency. in korea during summer.most buildings have sprinklers installed. This fire could continue for a week.one year ago? oh! every year! oh, so often!are you mean the companies are operation? the factory is operating? some of the company stayed in Koreathen,,.. that sound very dangerous but, I heard about this because some of my students work in those companies. I heard like construction material companies.they work, they are like the very engineers there so they usually talk about ISO stander.the Korea government policy that they follow like a teacher.we have to check our products for (???)[26:03] to check of their products can catch fire quickly or can resist fire.those kinds of thinks so, yeah. I guess I agree.a companies are trying there best to make their products and their factories are (???)[26:19] safer for fires.that's true. cause we are all human. we all make mistakes, unfortunately.so, accidents can still happen even though we try our best avoid them. so hopefully, now I think, I think summer is about end soon right? or not.one or two months later. the only have three seasons. two. goodness.how well. yeah, we can all (???)[27:46] climate change. as we say.but, I really hope that you stay safe in your work and good luck to your wife whose planning to change work soon. I hope that she passes the test. cross fingers. I will thank you so much.(???)[28:14] talk to you get next time okay?

oh hello sangkyu good evening! how are you?yeah me too. it's good to see you again for this evening. how have you been?a huge car? like truck? oh okay nice. ah truck like that. i see. not truly.aren't you tired?oh well. It's actually tiring, but I think this evening. a lot of my students are either (???)[02:18] or canceled.cause, my, one of my student is in united state and then my student, in this class, went to Europe. but I think he is coming back. ah for this time.oh thank you for that. yes, some of my student today all (???)[03:06] or they are sick or maybe the other one is in united state.yes, that's right. mostly my student before this class. because she is a manager. I think, and she has twins. so mostly she is really tired.oh by the way, you took a test for driving.I think is that same here. like there are different levels of vehicle. I'm not just familiar with (???)[04:50]oh what's the name of truck? ladder truck? Let me see it. not yet. what do you call this? is it what they use for fire truck. right?oh yes. you need to claim using this. so everyone, every firefighter needs to know how to drive this? to be promotedof course, everyone wants to be promoted .right why not?alright, but I think you know It's very difficult. of course, It's very difficult to be a fire fight.you are not that tired.I think it's the same in my city. I think in manila. I'm not in manila. I'm far from manila. but I think in manila yes.this (???)[08:41] a fire usually happen. like think mostly everyday there is a fire. in some parts of manila.but in my city, yeah very rare. doesn't pretty happen that much.what do they call? honeyman? proverb. especially country side I think.oh but, even in Seoul, It doesn't really happen frequently right?oh It (???)[11:10] for a week (???)[11:12]oh that's really long. like a wild fire. and then mostly residents houses.that's really comfortable for you and you told me, you also want your wife to move as a firefight right?but that mean. here in the Philippine sangkyu. the common health teacher are like for example. I'm a nurse for example. if I not major, if I masters in nursing for example. master's degree. and then I can teach like that.are with the doctor's degree. doctor is after master. so that more higher. she can teach. yeah she can teach university students. she can even teach nursing students.I see, and that thing it's easier. of course, it still (???)[16:06] competition right? or tight. very tight competition.how about being a firefight. I remember in the Philippine sangkyu. actually, they, firefighter like a go, government worker right? and then. but in the Philippine's like. I don't know if this is same in Korea, but like there's a particular age. I remember. maybe until up to thirty or thirty-five and then, they need to take a test and then, they need to pass the test. after then they can be train. ah is that the same.all it's the same. yep, permanent. until they retired like that. like it increase steadily.good in your country. you know what I think in the Philippine. those,,. actually, I remember before I didn't tell you, did I tell it sangkyu. I worked before in Dubai. right. I worked before in Dubai. I worked before in the airline industry. before I went home during Pandemic. at the time, because I don't have a job in the Philippine. I said, I will take a civil service exam. like the for the government and that time. however It gets cancel because of corona virus. like the schedule wasn't fix and then I heard which is actually to they say if you pass to civil service here. It's not easy to get in job too. especially, if you don't have a backer. do you know backer? yeah, in the Philippine we call backer. like that term 'backer' which means. If I have a relative or if I know someone working in the government. then they can take me. like me to work in the government. This is actually my needs for example, so it's easy to get the job. but if you don't have, even if you passed the civil service. It's difficult.oh I haven't been to airport. like illegally, ah like that. not the right procedure, not the right procedure to follow. my situation is different a little different. all most same. exactly.but I think, here it's more that way I've seen, some people if they work in the government. most of there family also work in the government. here in common.I forgot how do they call that. yes like. this is actually, becoming unissued like I forgot what do they call that. like family. I forgot. yeah, like family lineage, I forgot what do they call that. family in politics. political dynasty. yeah. let me just typing. yeah hear.It means some family become this. they have all position. different position. I see, yeah they are powerful. half of Korea's stock is it? they're very rich. which mean that they are really working with the government. like, it's like they also have a control. they control the government. other way around. I see.yes, but It's very common. right. it's very common. that's why (me??)[25:49] to I want to work before in the government, but I said, I don't have that and actually I don't want it to like I don't want someone (???)[25:58]ah you become like this, because of me. like I don't want someone telling me like that.yeah know and here government salary when you are staring. oh it's very low. very low salary, maybe just my salary for half of month like that. yeah very low. it's difficult right? you work in the government. the only good thing is yes. you can, It's permanent job. you don't need to worry they will kick you out when something happens like pandemic. like what happen before corona virus right.(????)[27:16] company is there is a lot of people who lose there job.oh forty-five years old? very young. very tight. i yeah. i see.oh thank you so much for today sangkyu. i really enjoyed listening to you story tonight. it's good to see you again. hopefully I can see you again. maybe not in the evening. maybe sunday.afternoon sure you can just look for my schedule if I'm available.

,hello. oh it's my pleasure. mr,(???)[00:16] sangkyu right?sang. thank you. I, I really appreciate you sir, sang and I would like to thank you also for booking up class with me. today so well come, I think, yeah I think this it our first class right?Sure, no problem. we'll going to have a discussion today. so, do you have any topics in mine or do you have any material, so you want to talk today. so how do you want discussion to be. oh, I can. no problem. alright. so today I found out that, um... Korea is on holiday. holiday. yeah, a some situ, holiday. yes, right. and I found out the this is a historical holiday in Korea. so since this is the historical holiday. I will have some historical questions for you. so we gonna talk about history a little bit. If that's okay with you. oh, then, that's good. I really really love history. and I very curious about Korea's history. I really know little about it. I don't know much really. so I gonna be learning from you today. alright. so, But, the worry this is still a little personal. so person formals (???)[02:58]Today is national liberation day and I heard that in Korea you have a lot of heroes who (???)[03:06] for Korea's freedom. right?I see, I get your point. so basically, you tell me that the primary reason, all the main reason why Korea got it's freedom is because Japan surrender to the U.S. right. exactly. It's the primary your reason so because of that Japan surrender world war two ended and that's how you got your freedom. It is sad, but the effort of your national heroes had little effect on Korea's freedom. that's what you tried to say.(???)[06:36] you can look for the words.costracize. okay. your ancestors? I see. I mean. are you trying to say your ancestor was a hero or your just generalizing, like my ancestors also are heroes, but it didn't. what? one lineage. come from the same ancestor. oh. unfortunately. your ancestor? like a general? yeah, you can look for the word. governor. oh my god. well your ancestor did very well. well okay. but again. oh okay. right.he (???)[10:08]but, unfortunately. um... It's was an insignificant. not insignificant but, It will not change the fact that Japan still has power over Korea during that time. Korea can not resist. Korea can not fight against the power of Japan during that time. which is ,.. will that's be honest Japan is a very big force during world war. yeah. yeah. yes. to some degree yes! some degree yes. That right. you mean to say oh,... Koreans have a hard time for getting the pass the day had with Japan because it was a very very bad past. right. I know. heard a lot about it and now of course we feel bad. and yes as I've mention you collect. Philippines has been a colony of Japan. for a short time. for three years. I heard so. so we can not imagine it. because to be honest Japan is the shortest, power that controlled Philippines, buy it destroyed more than be Americans, but yes the destruction that they cause in the Philippines is twice more than America and America stay in the Philippines for forty five years. yes, it's so bed. so we can not imagine forty years of Japanese. that's right. really manual work. it heard about it. the comfort woman. that right. if they acknowledge that there are comfort woman. there are admitting. to a war crime. that's what you to trying to say. that right. and of course they don't want that. they don't. unfortunately. so I, I do you understand your point. because we also have comfort woman in the Philippines. there're dying every year. I, I think we only have less than ten comfort woman living to day in the Philippines and until today they are still fighting. a.. for ... not compensation no. they don't want money. they don't want that. but they want the Japanese government to accept what they did. that right. so... um.. okay. so this is a question. I'm curious. one, Japan admits. okay so. that 's just imagine. one day, one day Japan will admit. ok, yes, we did all of this. do you think that will be enough for,.. for Koreans to finally forgive. oh. growth. seriously? okay. that right. I see the point. so the way you see this money. it's different. the perspective of Koreans is just, It's just money. It's an assistant. It is what you do. how... what I say this. this is a compensation for everything they destroyed in Korea. that's that money. but for Japan. they already gave everything to you.they (???)[20:22]they don't have any responsibility any more. that's it. exactly. different perspective. yeah. exactly. so It's a different perspective between the Korea, south Korean and the Japanese. It's quit sad. and I think it's because also victims that I understand you more. It's simple 'sorry'. It's not really the money any more. It's not about assistant any more, but the simple word of "sorry". I like,. very since your apologize coming from Japan. I think is all we need. but I think we all know Japan needs all about self image. so they don't want to destroy that. i think. versus. right.(???)[22:06] that's another thing. right. it's a person is already very difficulty to say "sorry". so much more for a government. because they're carrying so much. that's true. also the longer you take the say sorry. the more difficult to say sorry. like if time pass. you just thinkoh maybe just (???)[22:57]you don't need to say sorry anymore. It's already in the past. very good. exactly. until noting more. yes. that's right. if you had said sorry. just after if would had,. you can still save the relationship, the friendship. and I think that also true with a,... relationship between country. only we fix it soon. if would have been easier. oh well. It is (???)[24:43]that is true. but we'll only hoping this kinds of problems can still be talked and it's the, we hope that never too late too... a for country's for government's to talk about their problem. hopely.goodness. (???)[25:15] we.if we talk about the problem of US. one hour is not enough for us to talk. yes. surely. surely sir sang. but for today, I very glad that you openly discuss you special opinion about Korea's freedom. anyway the good thing is you are free now. we are all free and we hope that the world will not return.people are saying the world (???)[25:46] return these days.I'm just (???)[25:48] know.on that's right. that's a good thing about korea you have army service. we don't have that in the Philippines. we don't have an army. so I'm really praying. What you are wearing sleeveless shirt? so it's hot, i mean It's seems it's hot in your room. that's good man. you are just like run around neighbourhood others a race track, a running track for you to go to. i like running. did you join any marathon bro? my knees are not in good condition. why bro? you look young. a really? okay. yeah, you need to carry them. oh, okay. that's why. so it affected hour knees okay. you are a firefighter. you look like a university student to me. i said you look like university student to me. oh thirty six? hey man. why do you look so young? oh, that's why right. okay.like facemask or something like cover[03:34](???), cover your face right? okay.not really shell can see you are not really under the sunshine. you are not. were not usually under the lack sunshine. so what's the worlds rescue bro that you did. did you go. did you have. did you go to like the forest to stop world fire. what's world thing that you did rescue. far from you. like city. buildings. ah, i see okay.so [04:57](???) this years you did not have any like (??)[05:00] fire or great fire that happen there.oh really? wow. goodness. that's so terrible. yes yes. it really exhausted. okay. (???)[05:40] it call it makes, it's make me so exhausted. okay.sang are you married? i saw your yeah, i saw the ring. your wife is also working? work before. oh sorry to hear that. my wife was sick. oh my is she okay now bro? good luck for her. she teach students. oh so It's about health. she's a health teacher. oh good. you don't have kids yet? that's even for us with my wife. oh yeah right. right. oh you have a dog. i have two dogs also and one bird. and a bird. yeah, i have one bird. actually, (???) two but our cat before kill the bird so. gather there. animals? ah yeah, there're very good at killing I mean birds bro right? they good at very fast when they want to attack a bird. yeah. exactly. so you're living in Seoul bro? you're living in the capital city. oh. okay. so you were born and raised in Seoul. I was born. another city. that's three years ago? when you are three years old. so you can say 'we moved to Seoul when I was three years old" I've been living here since then. living here since then. sure bro. later. correction? sure sure. can also check the feedback box because mostly I, I am writing your sentences here. I have writ them sentences already here. okay. so It's okay? we, we can just have free talking. you can share whatever you want or... naturally. right. with you. I just want to talk with you. of course. we can discuss. other teachers. yeah, other topics, okay?so we say other plus roll out. so maybe we can choose one topic here and then I will ask some questions. yeah, can you choose one? which do you prefer here? yes. right right. so maybe this one. five things happy countries have in common. do you think your country, south Korea is happy country? I always feel happy. you don't have any complaint. so you're satisfaction is very high. ah yeah, the high ratio for suicide. yes. I think the reason for Korea is the strong pressure. one of the reason. I am studying now.why you're studying because you want to improve yourself. your English is much better because maybe (???)[14:56] the competition in your job. in the future. when I travel. yes. especially nowadays the world is getting closer. right? okay. i said that the world get in closer or smaller. oh, system. so some policy have to collaborate with them. you want to talk with foreigner or the native English speakers.you (???)[16:45] say?native English speakers. I said, you want, your government want you to talk with them or talk collaborate with them. right? yes, your government want to collaborate with them. you know collaborate. so you mention English people. When say English people basically is a British. they call themself English. okay. yeah, usually. that's why you say English speaking people. so if you can speak English. you can say oh yeah, I'm English speaking people or people that can speak English. right right. okay, I see. oh that's okay. When you say native speakers. yeah that's correct. do you have any major complaint bro about your job? or maybe in general people in your country. job of Koreans. I am satisfied about my job or with my job.(???)[19:09]yes, It's dangerous job sometime. it mean. what could happen or when the accident could happen. yeah, that makes sence. i think this very common schedule for firefighter your like, police officer okay. like in the Philippine's, I have or I knew some firefighter before and they have this kind of one week schedule and then one week off you know? it's better? so you want that hole week duty and then after that you have one week off something like that? wow okay. so you don't have like a consistent schedule. yeah, you don't have a consistent schedule or a regular schedule? so fix one. maybe i'm not sure. i think, the day off is, you know i think maybe two days or three days i'm not sure. it's not really one week because wow that's too long. am me too, i think, i said the wrong one. okay. so maybe just one week off and then maybe two days, two days off,, oh yeah, i'm not sure. but anyway, i think the major concern for the Philippinos i think low wage okay, low salary. pressure. right. exactly, like Japan in Tokyo right. Japan also is a very high cost of living. really? it's higher? you don't need to say more just say it's higher. yes, you know that yen in Japan. nowadays is very week that the reason also. it's one of the reasons. exactly. okay. i think also there is a lot, there is a lot of competition and pressure in work place. said to you. to have another job. wow, a competitive job. oh, wow.so twenty-five people are competing for one job. (???)[25:14]right. one job position. well even that same here as well. okay. and that why you have this "빨리빨리" culture. Everything is fast. Korea have. really? you always want it fast. especially you're firefighter. you need to do it faster. I mean that's the nature of your job. i think healthcare you don't have a major complaint about your healthcare right? they have any major complaint about your healthcare? it's very good. i think the main problem is in the country side. the doctor's, there are getting fewer because especially, special (???)[26:53] doctor because they go to the big city.doctors. money. i know right.so i (???)[27:36] your looking like heart specialist, brain specialist like that.how about housing. i heard it's very expensive. especially in 강남. your own house bro? if i didn't buy it. i can't buy it now. what? that's crazy man. okay? you know i read, i watch on youtube. there are a lot of houseless or homeless people in koreans. there's a like increasing number of homeless people. wow. hey man it's so quit.can i (???) [29:04] 카톡 also. can also communicate with me (???)[29:08] kakoa.do you have anyquestion?sure sure. yeah. okay then. please take care enjoy your running. see you again soon.

hello sangkyu. good afternoon. how are you?yeah I remember. the typhoon is actually gone but we have a low pressure this moment. so it's still raining. yeah it's still raining but it's not that strong. (--)[00:37] previous day.fluctuating. rise and fall. oh i think the last time it's not working right?yeah i can hear it louder. actually it's clear. what do you want to say? actually it happened most of the time. when some students want to tell something. i think it's about teacher's instinct. like we try to guess.yeah I understand even my other students too. yeah how can we say. my suggestion to you right. to be more exposure, in speaking English. it is, yes it is really true. however, that also depends sangkyu own the topic. so most of the time when my students want to do free talk. I don't actually want to talk about think that are very familiar. it's okay. if it's for the first time like that. if we do it frequently. like we just talk about there live or about hobby or about food. you know? i find it. i really find it.not simple but i think my students (--)[04:24] really improve.if let's say you do free talking and than you how could say. you talk about the same thing. again and again. a little. i will try to rephrase it. okay for free talking. okay it's okay to talk about simple things. like food, hobby, traveling, daily life it's okay. however, if you do it everyday. if you do it everyday. it's not good. it's okay to free talk everyday. if you talk about the same topic everyday. it's not good. it is. because mostly you will memorize what you are saying. oh this is what i do. right the next day. you will like,, it become like memorization. you already know what to say, what to answer. yes all improvement is slower. errors okay mistakes.yeah you can choose your topic. what do you want to talk about sangkyu. you don't need to talk about difficult topic right away. it's okay. okay say we can talk about yourself.we can talk about personality. like MBTI. personality. your dog it's actually living relaxing. outdoor sport.oh why? why do you think so?if you have some trouble. oh nice. maybe changes right? indoor? active? inactivei was born as an active person. always remind you.like other Korean man, like most Korean man. it's okay. because you are learning. make a lot of mistakes. it's okay sangkyu.I actually understand all of your explanation. there are just some minor errors. you can actually express what you want to say. I can understand it. I'm just correction it.yeah. I'm not really that. actually listening is my weakness. I also have a weakness. listening is my weakness. yeah. yes.yeah I think a lot people has a difficulty in listening. same with me.yes it's the same with me. but I can catch some of your errors. that's why I'm just correcting it. but I can understand it. don't be. yes it's okay. just relax it's studying. you know it's good to do free talking. noinsects. there are so many insects. which one? cicada is type of an insect. I this kind of insect is not common here.my house is nearby a park. mostly this kind, cicada, insects mostly live in that park. there are more to compare to other parks.I cant' hear it. no I can. and I think you know it's rainy here too but I think you can not here the rain.oh you can't okay that's good. yeah same with me I can't not here any noises.your pet? your dog? ah no! I can't here it. I don't here it. oh it's okay. i can not here it.well I wanna ask you sangkyu. because of your personality. Let me ask. are you a friendly person? do you? are you easy for you to have friends or to make friends. that's nice.maybe because. ah are you telling me when before getting married you used to hang out with your friends. before getting married. getting married affected me. getting married.it's okay, do you want to remove it? i see. it's okay. it's not a problem. it's fine.how about, yeah well talking about your personality. how about your wife's personality. how would you describe her.I like to swim, but I don't know how to swim. if I can touch on the floor it's okay. I'm okay. if she can! diving? I just guess it but actuallymaybe she scare of water. very I think so too. how did we date and got married. but you know what? I heard if you have opposite personality it's better.exactly like you imagine if you are shy person sangkyu. and your wife is shy. what will happened both of you? right?some want to you be a little bit out going the other want to be (--)[24:18]yes you can help each other. yeah that's what I actually yeah. like for example if a person is patient. okay the other one is in patient. you can not combine in patient and in patient right?you will (--) [24:45]okay so both of you need to help a this different character.very educational. I can think the word too. explore.Let me also try to search for that particular word. but that's what I believe too. I think that's why both of you got married. because you have different personality. like a preverb. that kind of saying. in your country. that's why. both of you. got married because you have different personality.i see. well that's really good. see the reason why I use personality as our topic today sangkyu. personality is not common topic.that's right. yes actually I want to you think about you know. if you are talking about topics that are not common. your mind starts to think. that is very important to learn.I believe so too. and if it is easy sangkyu. I don't think you'll learn. so it needs to be a little difficult. right. because if it's easy. it means you're not leaning. oh it's easy.right. that's why if it's a little difficult. it means you're learning. i totally agree. well I hope to see you again on your next class sangkyu. I will also think of another topic that we can talk about. but of course not to difficult.

Hello, can you hear me? Hello, Good morning. My name is Venn, and I will be your teacher for today.Your name is Bella, right? You have a beautiful name. It's really nice to meet you, Bella. How are you? It's Wednesday morning. I am doing great. Thank you for asking. So, actually, I am having a marathon class, and I am early to meet you in my class. I think this is our first time, right? Yes, so, and now, did something good happen to you this morning? Can you share one thing, one good thing that happened to you this morning?Wow, that's really nice, right? So you have been spending time with your niece, so that she goes there regularly. It sounds like, um, I would like to ask if, What did you play with your niece? Wow, that sounds really lovely, right? So it's always fun to spend time with your niece, especially with your family? So, now I have a few mentions. She's already four years old, right? So, now, I'd like to ask if are you still studying? Or working already? Wow, that's wonderful, right? I think your niece will love you a lot. Because it's like really special to spend time with your niece, right? So, now, I'd like to ask if, is it difficult to find a job or look for a job there in Korea? Especially this season? Quite curious, what kind of job are you looking for? Wow, that's interesting. So you're into fashion style, right? There are, like, that sounds like a very good career opportunity for you, and a good direction, right? So, you've experienced a clothing store that could be useful in fashion. What kind of fashion company would you like to work for? Is it.. Oh sorry, what kind of fashion company would you like to work for in Korea? Like, okay, for example, like, a fashion company is, you would like to focus on a lifestyle brand or a clothing brand? So would you like to focus on that one, or a creative environment, something?Oh, that's great. And your experience at Uniqlo could be very useful for you, right? If you want to work for another lifestyle company or fashion company, right? Especially in marketing, so now I'd like to ask if, what did you enjoy most about working there, in Uniqlo? Is it about (06:25), you can get?Marketing department (08:02)advertising, right? So you try to advertise the products more than sales, right? Because if you are working with sales your communicating with just customers, correct? But if you are working with marketing product, you try to work with sales or (08:20) a thing or fashion design, right? So that's what you'd like to work on in your next company. Did I get you right? Okay, thank you so much for that one. Because I was trying to recall, okay, this one is in the sales department; this one is in the marketing department. So good thing. I would be able to get it.So, now what you are trying to say is that when you worked in Uniqlo, you were part of the sales department, right? Since it is a large global company, you had a great opportunity as well to learn about fashion and business, right? So, now it sounds like you have valuable experience already. Now, you are more interested in marketing, correct?(09:10) You are having, like, a preparation with work. Why would you like to study English, even though you are very good in expressing your thoughts already? So why would you like to still study English? Oh, I totally understand. What you are pointing out is you would like to be more (10:06) when you are expressing your thoughts, right? And I think that is a great goal, right? Because you would like to work in sales and marketing, so speaking and communicating in English would be a totally great advantage for you. Okay, so, and right now, how's your stay here, Mint? Are you enjoying classes here? you feel comfortable? Wow, I think I am your first teacher, right? So after your level test? That's interesting. So wow, now since this is your first time. I don't want you to be pressured or keep worrying about speaking English. So what I would like you to focus on is trying to express yourself. So now I am gonna change the mood. I am not gonna ask you to relate that to your work or your life in Korea. So, Let's have an activity. Are you okay with that? Ok, so and then I would like to talk with you after your textbook, which is 'Say what 3 '. Is that Ok? Okay, good. So now I'll be sharing my screen with you for a moment, please. So this will be our activity. Here you go. So now, can you see it on your screen? So we have here Island Adventure. So try to imagine that you are in an island. okay? And then, you are stuck in a beautiful island for one week. For one week, and then the question is, what are three things you would bring? What are three things you would like to bring? And who would you bring with you? Like a person that you would bring, or tag along. And then the third one is what would you like to eat there, and forth is what activity you would like to do? And the last question is how would you survive? Okay, so now I would like you to imagine this situation. okay so Are you ready?I will stop sharing my screen, and now can you please answer? I'll type again! Here in the chat box, the questions. So you will be guided, okay? So here you go.Thank you so much for sharing your answer with these. And that's really nice. Right? So the first thing you would like to bring is a cell phone; second is food, that's a great option, because maybe you are sensitive with the food there, or like local food. Right? And the third one is a reading book. That's interesting. So now let's go with the second question, which is who would you bring with you? Would you like to bring your parents, your sisters, or other people, like a friend? Oh, that's interesting, so hopefully they also love this kind of adventure. Right? So now what would you like to eat there? Do you like to try their local food? Oh, maybe you are okay with Asian food, like Filipino food or like Chinese food? Are you okay with that? Oh, that's great. So it's like you don't easily pick, or you don't actually pick food, right? So you try to try other food or local food. Okay, so now what activities would you like to do there? You like snorkelling, or free diving, no?You don't like to swim. You are not a swimmer. right? Oh, right. Next question is: how would you think you will survive? Like, for example, the situation is there are a lot of foreigners and locals in the area. So a lot of people and tourists. So, how would you communicate with them?Yes, that's actually good, right? So the last question that you have answered is "in this situation, I would like to try to find food and water, or communicate with other people like foreigners and tourists.", since you also know how to speak English, and that's interesting. So you find something that's common with the tourists or foreigners. That's very good. And then you can also use your cell phone in using the translator app, right? So now, with the questions, like, while you are answering, there are only a few corrections. So I would like to suggest, okay? So I am gonna type it here in the chat box. So can you please read the sentence? Regards with number 4 question, right? So you mentioned you're scared with snorkeling, right? Because you are not a good swimmer. So can you please read the correct sentence?Yes, that is correct. That's the only thing that I've noticed. You need to enhance it more with sentence structure, okay? But actually I really like how you express your answers, and you are really good. Okay, so I think that sounds like a pretty relaxing island adventure with your two other older sisters, right, hopefully your sisters will be able to enjoy it as well with you. So now I think we don't have enough time, and I need to go to my next student, so I will see you again next time, right? okay? Hopefully, Hopefully, I don't know yet if you are my regular student or not, so hopefully we will see each other again. okay? It's really nice to meet you. Have a great Wednesday.

That was an amazing experience for you. Right? Can you tell me how did you, What have you to decide that you would attend the retreat? Who invited you? How did you know it? Okay. Oh! That's good. Would you like to invite others if there is another retreat in the future? Right? Good. wow! I'm happy for you. Yeah. Everyone of us we have a journey. Right? in life... The journey is toward God. Right? Yeah. Last Sunday, In our church The gospel was about.. You know Gospel? Song! The gospel, Yeah. About the reading... is about it's about ah Jesus who was walking on the sea. Right? He's ([09:47]) I prayed oh! There is a ghost. Right? And Peter said, Lord. It's you! Yes. I'm your lord. I want to walk. I want to walk like you. and Jesus..Come. and walk. and he walked. He was able to walk. But suddenly Peter fell into the sea. Because He was he became conscious that big waves! like maybe. it's... I'm walking on the sea. but suddenly ([10:21]). Because of that. He was no longer focus on Jesus. Right? So same in our lives. Right? So, That's what I also I also realize in my life that yeah it's a journey going to Jesus. and it's not easy. Right? Because a lot of disturbance in our lives. Anyway, but faith is the grace of God. Right? Do you believe that? Faith is a grace of God. Okay? In our lives. Okay? Yeah. I've been asking to God for the faith. Yes. I believe in God. but that's only my own capacity. But the faith is his grace given to us. Right? I've been waiting for that. I don't know what will happen to me. I'm going to have this grace. So, some people who ([11:35]) something good for the church. Right? That's good. So yeah. Anyway, What did your husband say after that? I'm just curious. Yes. Wow! Oh my God! That's indeed a grace of God. Right? I know you told me about your husband. Yes. Right? You ([12:43]) different. Right? You have different faith? Right? I think It's a challenge for you. Right? You pray? Remember Saint Augustin? Do you know Saint Augustin? Augustin? Yeah. Saint Augustin. Do you hear about ([13:18])? ([13:23]) missionaries. Do you know your missionaries? No? Okay. So, we have different missionaries. We have Augustinians, we have Franciscans, Franciscans from Francis. Right? Franciscan missionaries and We also have dominican from Saint dominic. Okay? Yeah. Augustin? This is there're a spiritual ([14:02])the pattern after same Augustin. Okay? And the story of Saint Augustin is really catching. Why? Because Saint Augustin was yeah. His family has wealth to do many. They have a wealth. Okay? And Saint Augustin was a brilliant man he started in you know in a big famous university in Caltagy. Caltagy is in North Africa. Okay? So, North Africa. That's on the left western part of Egypt. So, There's Caltagy. Her mom, the name of her mom is Saint Monica. Saint Monica is her mom. Yeah. And her mom kept praying for the conversion of Augustin. Okay? Because Augustin was living a ([15:21]) life. Yeah. ([15:27]) life. like a lot of money, enjoying drinking, womanizing like that. Okay? As a young man. So, her mother was a Catholic and was praying hard for his conversion. Okay? Then eventually Saint Augustin was converted but it was because of the prayers of Saint Monica. For a long time. Yeah. and he became a priest and a bishop. and he became a Saint eventually. Saint Augustin. Okay? You heard of him. Yeah! Good! Good! Good! I see. Thank you so much. Okay? You give me a good news today. Okay. Let's move now to your lesson. Okay? ([16:34]) only 3 minutes left. Anyway, Okay. so.. we'll finish ([16:42]) our conversation. okay? I have a question. anyway. you can also practice speak. Okay? Express yourself in English. So, I have a question. What is the biggest challenge of being a Christian in Korea for you? personally? What is the biggest challenge of being a Christian in Korea? Two? sorry? okay. Yeah. Okay. I see. but as a housewife, okay. Do you always feel God in your life? Not always? Oh! Yeah. It's not easy. We have all own crosses in life. Right? We have a different crosses in life. Right? Yeah. That's our challenge. Each of us has a cross in life. Okay? Yeah. In my case, I always pray that for God to be always present. I know God is always there. God is always there, but I always pray like embracing him. That's my challenge everyday. Embrace. Like you are embracing God always always. Just like you're embracing your husband. Right? Because he is your joy. Right? So, For me the same. I'm practicing now the concept of contemplation. Okay? I'm trying to understand what is contemplation. And now a contemplation is a gift from God. It's like a faith is a grace from God. So I'm asking God for this. contemplation. yeah. I think contemplation is very important in our Christian lives. Okay? we don't have time. let's continue next time. Thank you so much. Continue your journey. Okay? Let's pray each other. Bye bye!
